在雅思小作文里图表分析经常要求学生做数据的比对，很多同学反映比较级不会写，或者一写就错，首先，注意一下比较状语后面跟的单词形式：
只能修饰原级的词：very，quite，so，too，much more+原级可以修饰比较级的词：much+比较级，a lot，far …的多；a little，a bit，一点儿；even甚至；still仍然比较句型整理，由简到难
1）A比B更…：A +be+形容词比较级/倍数+ than +B例1：这座城市现在的人口是以前的10倍.
The present population of this city is ten times than that of ten years ago.
例2：石油的消耗量比过去多得多。
The consumption of petrol is way more than that of in the past.
或者
A+谓语动词+副词比较级+than+ B
例1：这座岛的旅游业比20年前发展的好。
The tourism of this island develops better than that of 20 years ago.
例2：人们赚的比以前多。
People earn more than they could in the past.
2）A和B一样…：A + be+ as 形容词原级+ as +B例1：2000年的香蕉产量和1998年的产量一样稳定。
The output of banana in 2000 is as stable as the yield in 1998.
例2：2015年的核能消耗和2005年的一样多
This consumption of nuclear energy in 2015 is as much as the consumption in 2005.
3）A 是B的几倍大：A+ be +倍数+形容词比较级+ than B例1：这个区域的建筑数量是那个区域的3倍。
Buildings in this area is three times more than that one.
例2：意大利2050年60岁以上人口会是2000年的2倍。

4）A + be +倍数+ as形容词原级+ as +B例：2004年的咖啡销量是1999年的2倍。
The sale of coffee in 2004 is twice as much as that of in 1999.
或者
A +实义动词+倍数+as 副词原级+ as B
例：人们现在赚的钱是以前的两倍。
People now earn twice as much as they used to.
5）"not+比较级+than"与"no+比较级+than" 的区别这两个结构表达的意思完全不同，前者表示"一方不比另一方…"，后者表示"前者和后者一样都不…"；
修饰说明数量时，no more than 表示"最多，不比……多"；not more than 表示"仅仅"，带有感情色彩。
简单例子：
I am not taller than you. 我不比你高。
I am no taller than you. 我和你一样高。
例1：椰子树的数量不比以前少。
The present coconut trees are no less than that of in the past.
修饰比较级时常见的错误
1）more不可修饰比较级，但much可以用来加强比较级，意为"…的多，更…"例：
He looks more younger than I.(×)
He looks much younger than I.(√)
2）比较的对象或范围出现错误，这个考生最最容易犯的错，多是写句子时受汉语省略的影响。
例：中国的粮食产量比英国的高。
The grain yield in China is more than UK . (×)
(比较对象应该是粮食产量，不能产量和国家比)
The grain yield in China is more than that of in UK. (√)
3 ) 逻辑上的错误
China is larger than any country in Asia. (×)
(中国就是亚洲的一个国家，应当排除在外)
China is larger than any country in Africa. (√)
中国比非洲的任何国家都大。
China is larger than any other country in Asia. (√)
